Although I am not a fan of new years' resolutions, setting specific goals keep me motivated throughout the year. During the process of planning my year, I came across a TED Talk about time management. The guest speaker, Laura Venderkam offers a simple way to gain control of our free time and to honour our priorities, whatever they may be. She suggests (and proves) that most of us have more time that we think.
I listened to her 11 minutes talk and started day dreaming, transporting myself to the end of 2017. What does my year look like? What have I accomplished in 2017 that makes it the best year ever professionally, personally, and relationships wise? Suddenly, specific goals became clear to me. It is now up to me to prioritize them or to classify them in the "I don't have time" category.
