Meet faye!

I have been playing golf 30+years.  I currently play in the ladies league at Oakridges Golf Club in Port Perry and Watson's Glen Golf Club in Pickering with the LPGA Durham Chapter.  I'm currently on the Board with the LPGA Durham Chapter which was established in 2018 and there are approximately 90 members.   It's a great league with a lot of events and opportunities to play away games at other courses and is based on the following four pillars: Connect, Learn, Play & Belong.    

MY FAVOURITE GOLF COURSE:
There are so many, however, I'm going to stay in North America. The Links at Crowbush Cove overlooking the north shore dunes of PEI, Crowbush. There were many challenges to conquer on the course and an unbelievable combination of nature including the cawing of the crows.

A GOLF COURSE I WOULD LOVE TO PLAY:
Pebble Beach, California as I would love the opportunity to golf along this iconic coastline. 

MY BEST GOLF MOMENT EVER:
​While on a golf vacation in Ireland I was asked to join 3 other men at Lahinch Golf Course in Clare County, Ireland where we had required a caddy. We approached the 5th hole (Dell) which was a Par 3, 120 yards for women. The challenge is getting over the 30 foot mound. My caddy did an excellent job of coaching me. I teed up to the front of the mound and took my iron and hit it higher than I think I've ever done. It is a blind hole so I couldn't see where it landed until I got closer to the green. I was able to tap it in for a nice par.  My golf buddies were in disbelief as they had lost balls and double par.   

MY FAVOURITE PROFESSIONAL GOLFER:
Brooke Henderson of Smith Falls, ON - she has great qualities while being competitive and aggressive on the field of play.   In my opinion, she is a superstar and has much more to come and she's Canadian. ​
