Maureen Barrey's dad taught her how to play golf when she was 10 years old and she has played ever since.
She has been a member at Scarboro Golf & CC since 1998 where she was the first female president in 2010-2012, celebrating the Club's 100th anniversary in 2011.
MY FAVOURITE GOLF COURSE:
Royal Liverpool, England, when I played in the British Mid-Amateur.
MY BEST GOLF MOMENT EVER:
Winning the Club Championship at Scarboro G&CC in 2002 and winning again in 2017. Attending the Masters in 2011 is definitely up at the top as well.
A GOLF COURSE I WOULD LOVE TO PLAY:
I was headed to Scotland in 2020 to play Royal Troon. This is still on my list.
MY FAVOURITE GOLFER:
I am a fan of Rory, Dustin, Corey Connors and Lorie Kane, a Canadian golf ambassador for women golf.
MY FAVOURITE YFG MOVE:
Any work on back and hips. The pre-round warm-up is very important including wrists and neck.
