In 2012 I started cycling again after many years away from my bicycle. During an indoor spinning class a classmate introduced me to Chantal. I knew that my cycling was taking a toll on me, so Chantal and I talked about how Yoga could help me stretch out the muscles that contract during cycling. I then talked to my wife about yoga and shortly after that we both decided to attend Chantal’s yoga class. My focus was to help me stretch out from all my cycling. Joyce’s focus was to help with lower back issues and general relaxation. Two years later we both attend a separate yoga class offered by Chantal, Joyce attends a gentle yoga class and I attend one that is more focused on yoga for the cyclist. These classes have been both physical and spiritual in every sense of the word. Yoga works to compliment any sport, it provides balance, peacefulness and a sense of joy at the end of your class. If you haven’t tried Chantal’s yoga class you are really missing out on the opportunity to reduce the stress in your life while enjoying a workout that is catered to your personal needs. Truthfully both your mind and your body will thank you after your workout.
