Using just the legs to get up from a chair or from the floor, as demonstrated in the video below, is a challenging task for many people, especially as we age. Typically, the arms, hands and upper body will swing forward to assist the movement. Let the legs do the work, feel the ground beneath your feet and your weight shifting, and try to minimize the upper-body movement.
